M: Marian
You probably could have guessed that I was going to pick this one. Marian from BBC's Robin Hood. I love her character so much. Robin and Marian were betrothed before he went to the Holy Land. When he came back she didn't want to be hurt again by Robin so she played hard to get. She wasn't mean to him but she just could go up to him after all that time and pretend nothing happened. A big thing happened at the end of the first season.....SPOILERS!! In the second season they were both in love and trying to save England. I should say no more because it would just spoil it for everyone. I think she was a great fighter and had a heart for the people.
N: Nim
From Nim's Island comes the lovable Nim. The spirited girl who has her own island. How cool is that!! I must say I like the 2nd movie better then the first. The first one showed how much she loved her dad. The second one was more about poachers coming to the island. I think Abigail Breslin did a good job, but I think the crocodile hunter's daughter did better. She also meets this boy Patrick in the first one and he comes back in the 2nd movie to see her. I like how they just kept it just friends nothing more. The other thing I like about this character is that she talks to animals like they are people and she can understand them. I guess that happens when you have your own island and that is all you can talk too. :-)
O:Opal Buloni
Because of Winn-Dixie comes this cute little girl Opal. Opal moved with her father to a small town in Florida. Her father is a preacher ( her mother left them when she was young) and when he finally gets a job, they move to the town. She is really lonely and having a hard time making friends. She finds this dog in the store, making a mess in the store, and decides to take him home. This starts so many funny things to happen. I like her character because it shows how a little girl loves her dog and that she is willing to do anything for him.
P: Penelope Wilhern
The movie Penelope and character is very interesting. Penelope was born with a curse she would have a pig face. I know drastic! She never could go outside our see anyone because her parents wanted to protect her. Her mother finally hires a matchmaker and they start bring boys in from noble birth. Penelope get so upset with them sometimes that she finally comes out from behind her window/ mirror and shows them her face. They of course go away screaming. :-) A reporter remembering a strange looking child goes to find out what this is about. He hires a boy to go on the inside and take a picture of her. Penelope starts to fall in love with this boy. I shouldn't say much more.....to many SPOILERS!!! I like her character because it takes this sheltered girl to become this independent girl that want to start her own life.
Q: Quinn, Michaela
Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman is a show that my family will always love. Michaela Quinn is one of the first woman doctors and she worked with her father up until he died. She then moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado because they needed a doctor. When she gets there everyone thought it was a joke, no one would believe a woman could be a doctor. So finally they look back to the telegram she sent back when she decided to take the job. The telegram was missing the a on the end of Michaela. as times goes on the towns people trust her and she becomes there doctor. She inherits a family...won't tell you how. :-) She has to raise the children as her own. She meets this man that lives with the Indians. He becomes her friend and teaches her about nature ( like plants that could be medicine) that he learned from the Indians. It is a great show! You should definitely watch it! Fun fact about this show is that my parents used to watch this show and my Dad liked the name Michaela so much that he named my sister Michaela. So yes my sister was named after a tv show...interesting right??!! I like this character because she never gave up trying to help people, even though they resisted her at first, she eventually won their hearts.
R: Red Riding Hood/ Ruby
From the show Once Upon A Time comes this very independent girl. In the real world she lives with her grandma and helps her run the family restaurant. She is trying to make a start for herself but every time she goes back to her grandma. In the fairy tale world she is hunted down by everyone. I wonder why???? :-) She then helps snow white in the forest. They become best friends while they try to keep a low profile on themselves. She is really sweet and very smart.
S: Sally Sparrow
Sally Sparrow gets in so much danger until the doctor helps her. From another Doctor who episode comes this character. She is a photographer and likes to go to old buildings and to take pictures there. She finds strange messages on the wall from someone called the doctor. She goes to her friend's house for advice only to find her friend's brother and they meet for the first time. Her friend finally comes down to meet her and talk with her about what she saw. She goes back to the house with her friend. They start exploring the house and while exploring the door bell rings. Sally goes to answer the door to find a man handing over a letter addressed to her. He claims that he is her friend's grandson. Thinking they are playing a joke on her she goes upstairs to find her friend only to fine she has vanished. You have to watch the episode Blink to find out what happens. :-) She is a great character and she has a goal of doing something for the Doctor. She also has a hard time with emotions in this episode. I feel bad for her. She had so many hardships. This is rated the best doctor Who episode ever.
T: Thermopolis, Mia
From Princess Diaries comes the Princess of Genovia. Mia was just a normal girl, she lived with her mother and her pet cat. Her father I think is divorced and died a little later. She is a awkward girl of 16 when she unexpectedly got a visit with her grandmother. She finds out she is a princess and get the choice of having the throne....if she wants it or not. In the meantime she gets the car of her dreams, her date with her crush, and attend princess lessons. This girl was pretty hopeless at the beginning of lessons, but by the end she turns out to look like a lovely princess. I like how her character shows that even the most awkward and clumsy girl can turn into a princess.
U: Ursula Blake
I am using this character just because I can't find anyone else not that I don't like her character, but I wish I could do someone else. From rated the worst Doctor Who episode ever comes this quiet girl Ursula. Ursula is in this club that is looking for the doctor. After looking for him for a long time they decided to do more fun things then looking for the doctor. Then this man comes and changes everything for the club and they really start hunting down the doctor. This episode is really weird because it was written by a kid. Which I think is really neat, but maybe they should have picked another one. Ursula finds the boy she loves...and ends up with him in a really strange way at the end. This is a must see for a good laugh. 
V: Violet Baudelaire
From the Series of Unfortunate Events comes the eldest child of the Baudelaire orphans. From the last sentence you know they are orphans. Their parents died in a fire when the children were at the beach. They then go to a crazy uncle they have never met. All the uncle cares about is the money he will get when he becomes guardian. He tries then to kill them in many ways, or kill anyone who get in his way of getting the money. I think is a great family movie. I know your thinking that she just said that there is this crazy uncle killing people. It is done in a humorous way that the movie was made for kids. I love the character violet just because when I was little I wanted so much to be like her. Violet was a inventor and thought of brilliant ideas for everything. This movie is a must see and the books are amazing.
W:Winifred (Winnie) Foster
From the movie Tuck Everlasting comes Winnie Foster. Living a sheltered life she just wants to play with other kids and just go when she wants to. Her mother has a very different idea for her life. Her mother wants her to become a lady and go to a boarding school. Hearing that she is going to be sent away she runs away into her family woods and soon gets lost. While exploring she finds this boy drinking from a spring. She asks him why he is in her woods and after they get to talking she wants some of the water. He won't let her near it and she runs away from him scared. The boy's brother finds her and kidnapped her and took her to his family's home. She finds out the mystery about them and wants to stay.....but will she? You will have to watch the movie to find out. :-) Her character is a good one. The only thing she wants is freedom and to be her own person.
Sorry guys I can't think of any more characters with X,Y,and Z. I was wracking my brain about it for a long time and I just decided to bring this to a close. It was fun though. :-)
It is the same pattern but, mine doesn't look as good as this. I still have to add the little pom poms that looks like sprinkles. :-) 
I have a pattern that make it look really cool! I can't really describe it....I will just put a picture of it when I am done. 
I should get some of these.
